Abebe Bikila's Birth Chart
Sun in Leo · Moon in Libra
Shambel Abebe Bikila was an Ethiopian marathon runner who was a back-to-back Olympic marathon champion. He was the first Ethiopian Olympic gold medalist, winning his first gold medal at the 1960 Summer Olympics in Rome while running barefoot. At the 1964 Tokyo Olympics, he won his second gold medal, making him the first athlete to successfully defend an Olympic marathon title. In both victories, he ran in world record time. Wikipedia
Sun in Leo
14°44′Your essence asks to shine from the heart, with authenticity: to create, express and give warmth to those you love. You are contagiously vital. You need to inhabit your own centre with pride and give your creativity an outlet.
Moon in Libra

Birth time not documented
The Ascendant changes sign every two hours, and no verified birth time is recorded for Abebe Bikila, so this chart doesn't set it. Their planets by sign, however, remain reliable.
Section II · The map
Their natal wheel
The sky on the day they were born. The outer ring is the twelve signs; the lines across the centre, the aspects between planets. Without a birth time, houses and the Ascendant aren't drawn.
Section III · The detail
Planets and aspects
The exact numbers behind the drawing. Each table expands one layer of the wheel.
Abebe Bikila's placements
We compute the placements for the day of birth. Without the exact time the Ascendant and houses can't be fixed, but each planet's sign is reliable.

Beyond the planets
Three keys beyond the ten classical planets, which astrology reads as axes of the chart. All four angles need your birth time.
The wounded healer: a small icy body between Saturn and Uranus. It marks the wound that, once moved through, teaches.
Not a body but a point of the Moon's orbit. It marks the direction of your growth.
The Black Moon: a mathematical point tied to the untamed and what refuses to submit.
Abebe Bikila's aspects
Each aspect is an angle between two planets; it defines how they speak to each other. Aspects to the Moon are approximate: they depend on the exact birth time.
Elements and modalities
How their energy is split across the four elements and the three modalities.
Section IV · The signature
The signature of their sky
The whole at a glance: how the planets are spread, and the accents that set the overall tone of the chart.
Seesaw
Your planets gather in two opposite groups: you live in the push and pull between them.
Their energy concentrates in the element of Fire and the Cardinal modality.
Neptune is the most connected planet in their chart: 7 aspects tie it to the rest.
Three or more planets together in Cancer: a strongly marked focus of energy in that area.
An opposition with a third planet square to both: the chart's engine of tension and achievement.
