Arthur Conan Doyle's Birth Chart

Sun in Gemini · Moon in Aquarius

Sir Arthur Ignatius Conan Doyle was a British writer and physician. He is best known for his four novels and fifty-six short stories about the fictional consulting detective Sherlock Holmes and his assistant Dr. Watson, which are milestones in crime fiction, and for his first work featuring Professor Challenger, The Lost World (1912), which gave its name to a subgenre of speculative fiction. He was a prolific writer who produced over 200 stories and articles, four volumes of poetry, and a number of works for the stage. He was knighted by King Edward VII in the 1902 Coronation Honours. Section I · The core

The two luminaries

Two lights set the tone of the whole chart: the Sun, the identity; the Moon, the emotional world.

Arthur Conan Doyle's Sun, in Gemini

Your identity lives in curiosity: you are bridge, translator, permanent question. It unfolds through versatility, movement and the play of ideas. You need to explore, build bridges, ask questions and connect concepts in order to understand the world.

Arthur Conan Doyle's Moon, in Aquarius

You feel with a certain panoramic distance: you need freedom even inside affection. You process emotions with objective detachment and a need for personal space. Your comfort lies in mental freedom, authenticity without labels and the complicity of groups.

Without an exact birth time, the Moon could fall in the neighbouring sign: it changed sign that day.

Section II · The map

Their natal wheel

The sky on the day they were born. The outer ring is the twelve signs; the lines across the centre, the aspects between planets. Without a birth time, houses and the Ascendant aren't drawn.

Arthur Conan Doyle's placements

We compute the placements for the day of birth. Without the exact time the Ascendant and houses can't be fixed, but each planet's sign is reliable.

Arthur Conan Doyle's aspects

Each aspect is an angle between two planets; it defines how they speak to each other. Aspects to the Moon are approximate: they depend on the exact birth time.
