Robert Hooke's Birth Chart

Sun in Leo · Moon in Capricorn

Robert Hooke was an English polymath who was active as a physicist, astronomer, geologist, meteorologist, and architect. He is credited as one of the first scientists to investigate living things at microscopic scale in 1665, using a compound microscope that he designed. Hooke was an impoverished scientific inquirer in young adulthood who went on to become one of the most important scientists of his time. After the Great Fire of London in 1666, Hooke attained wealth and esteem by performing more than half of the property line surveys and assisting with the city's rapid reconstruction. Often vilified by writers in the centuries after his death, his reputation was restored at the end of the twentieth century and he has been called "England's Leonardo [da Vinci]". Wikipedia

Section I · The core

The two luminaries

Two lights set the tone of the whole chart: the Sun, the identity; the Moon, the emotional world.

Robert Hooke's Sun, in Leo

Your essence asks to shine from the heart, with authenticity: to create, express and give warmth to those you love. You are contagiously vital. You need to inhabit your own centre with pride and give your creativity an outlet.

Robert Hooke's Moon, in Capricorn

Your emotions are sober and deep: it's hard for you to ask, but you hold like a mountain. Your emotional world seeks refuge in restraint, work, pragmatism and self-control. You show affection by supporting and protecting your own, and you find peace when you feel you hold the reins of your life.

Section II · The map

Their natal wheel

The sky on the day they were born. The outer ring is the twelve signs; the lines across the centre, the aspects between planets. Without a birth time, houses and the Ascendant aren't drawn.

Robert Hooke's placements

We compute the placements for the day of birth. Without the exact time the Ascendant and houses can't be fixed, but each planet's sign is reliable.

Robert Hooke's aspects

Each aspect is an angle between two planets; it defines how they speak to each other. Aspects to the Moon are approximate: they depend on the exact birth time.
