Samuel Beckett's Birth Chart
Sun in Aries · Moon in Sagittarius
Samuel Barclay Beckett was an Irish playwright, novelist, and poet. Written in both English and French, his literary and theatrical works feature bleak, impersonal, and tragicomic episodes of life, coupled with black comedy and literary nonsense. Beckett is widely regarded as one of the most influential and important writers of the 20th century, credited with transforming modern theatre. As a major figure of Irish literature, he is best known for his tragicomedy play Waiting for Godot (1953). For his foundational contribution to both literature and theatre, Beckett received the 1969 Nobel Prize in Literature, "for his writing, which—in new forms for the novel and drama—in the destitution of modern man acquires its elevation." Section I · The core
The two luminaries
Two lights set the tone of the whole chart: the Sun, the identity; the Moon, the emotional world.
Samuel Beckett's Sun, in Aries
Your identity ignites when you begin and open the way: you need causes, challenges and the freedom to go first in order to discover who you are through action.
Samuel Beckett's Moon, in Sagittarius
Your spirits need air and future: movement, laughter and a good reason to believe restore you. You find emotional refuge in freedom, optimism and a wide perspective. You heal your emotions when you manage to see the whole picture and draw a life lesson from each experience.
