Thomas Edison's Birth Chart
Sun in Aquarius · Moon in Sagittarius ≈
Thomas Alva Edison was an American inventor and businessman. He grew up in Michigan with little formal schooling and began working at a young age. He became deaf as a child and learned through books and tinkering. As a railroad telegrapher, he spent much of his time inventing improvements to telegraph systems. By the age of 22, he had sold a few of his early inventions and moved to New York to focus on engineering. He had three children with Mary, his first wife, but Edison was neglectful. She died at 29 years old. Edison had troubled relationships with his kids for the rest of his life. With the help of friends, the inventor attracted investment and grew his company. By the age of 29, he owned a telegraph recorder factory in Newark with over one hundred employees. Wikipedia
Section I · The core
The two luminaries
Two lights set the tone of the whole chart: the Sun, the identity; the Moon, the emotional world.
Thomas Edison's Sun, in Aquarius
Your identity is vision: thinking differently, belonging to the future and to the tribe of the awake.
Thomas Edison's Moon, in Sagittarius
Your spirit needs air and future: movement, laughter and a good reason to believe repair you.
Without an exact birth time, the Moon could fall in the neighbouring sign: it changed sign that day.
Section II · The map
Their natal wheel
The sky on the day they were born. The outer ring is the twelve signs; the lines across the centre, the aspects between planets. Without a birth time, houses and the Ascendant aren't drawn.
Section III · The detail
Planets and aspects
The exact numbers behind the drawing. Each table expands one layer of the wheel.
Thomas Edison's placements
We compute the placements for the day of birth. Without the exact time the Ascendant and houses can't be fixed, but each planet's sign is reliable.

Thomas Edison's aspects
Each aspect is an angle between two planets; it defines how they speak to each other. Aspects to the Moon are approximate: they depend on the exact birth time.
Elements and modalities
How their energy is split across the four elements and the three modalities.
Section IV · The signature
The signature of their sky
The whole at a glance: how the planets are spread, and the accents that set the overall tone of the chart.
Bowl
Your planets fill half the chart: one half full, one empty, like something you seek to complete.
Their energy concentrates in the element of Air and the Mutable modality.
Neptune is the most connected planet in their chart: 6 aspects tie it to the rest.
Three or more planets together in Aquarius: a strongly marked focus of energy in that area.
