Herbert Hoover's Birth Chart
Sun in Leo · Moon in Cancer ≈
Herbert Clark Hoover was the 31st president of the United States, serving from 1929 to 1933. As a member of the Republican Party, he served as the third United States secretary of commerce from 1921 to 1928 before being elected president in 1928. His presidency was dominated by the Great Depression, and his policies and methods to combat it were seen as inadequate and overly conservative. Amid his unpopularity, he decisively lost re-election to Franklin D. Roosevelt in 1932. Wikipedia
Section I · The core
The two luminaries
Two lights set the tone of the whole chart: the Sun, the identity; the Moon, the emotional world.
Herbert Hoover's Sun, in Leo
Your essence asks to shine from the heart, with authenticity: to create, express and give warmth to those you love. You are contagiously vital. You need to inhabit your own centre with pride and give your creativity an outlet.
Herbert Hoover's Moon, in Cancer
You have deep intuition and a very rich emotional world, a profound sensitivity that registers everything and needs a den to process it: your natural refuge is home, intimacy and the bonds that make you feel safe and among family.
Without an exact birth time, the Moon could fall in the neighbouring sign: it changed sign that day.
Section II · The map
Their natal wheel
The sky on the day they were born. The outer ring is the twelve signs; the lines across the centre, the aspects between planets. Without a birth time, houses and the Ascendant aren't drawn.
Section III · The detail
Planets and aspects
The exact numbers behind the drawing. Each table expands one layer of the wheel.
Herbert Hoover's placements
We compute the placements for the day of birth. Without the exact time the Ascendant and houses can't be fixed, but each planet's sign is reliable.

Herbert Hoover's aspects
Each aspect is an angle between two planets; it defines how they speak to each other. Aspects to the Moon are approximate: they depend on the exact birth time.
Elements and modalities
How their energy is split across the four elements and the three modalities.
Section IV · The signature
The signature of their sky
The whole at a glance: how the planets are spread, and the accents that set the overall tone of the chart.
Bucket
A group of planets with a single one opposite: that 'handle' planet becomes the channel of the whole chart.
Their energy concentrates in the element of Fire and the Fixed modality.
Moon is the most connected planet in their chart: 9 aspects tie it to the rest.
Three or more planets together in Leo: a strongly marked focus of energy in that area.
