John Arthur Johnson, nicknamed the "Galveston Giant", was an American boxer who, at the height of the Jim Crow era, became the first black world heavyweight boxing champion (1908–1915). His 1910 fight against James J. Jeffries was dubbed the "fight of the century". Johnson defeated Jeffries, who was white, triggering dozens of race riots across the U.S. According to filmmaker Ken Burns, "for more than thirteen years, Jack Johnson was the most famous and the most notorious African American on Earth". He is widely regarded as one of the most influential boxers in history. Wikipedia

The essence · Sun

Sun in Aries

10°39′

Your identity ignites when you begin and open the way: you need causes, challenges and the freedom to go first in order to discover who you are through action.

The inner world · Moon

Moon in Pisces

14°43′

Your emotional world is porous and vast: you absorb other people's weather like a sponge and give it back turned into art or consolation. Your inner security needs places to retreat, imagination, rest and creative outlets to channel your immense sensitivity.

The threshold · Ascendant

Birth time not documented

The Ascendant changes sign every two hours, and no verified birth time is recorded for Jack Johnson, so this chart doesn't set it. Their planets by sign, however, remain reliable.

Section II · The map

Their natal wheel

The sky on the day they were born. The outer ring is the twelve signs; the lines across the centre, the aspects between planets. Without a birth time, houses and the Ascendant aren't drawn.

Lilith19°13 Pisces

The Black Moon: a mathematical point tied to the untamed and what refuses to submit.

Jack Johnson's aspects

Each aspect is an angle between two planets; it defines how they speak to each other. Aspects to the Moon are approximate: they depend on the exact birth time.
