Sir Karl Raimund Popper was an Austrian–British philosopher, academic and social commentator. One of the 20th century's most influential philosophers of science, Popper is known for his rejection of the classical inductivist views on the scientific method in favour of empirical falsification made possible by his falsifiability criterion, and for founding the Department of Philosophy at the London School of Economics and Political Science. According to Popper, a theory in the empirical sciences can never be proven, but it can be falsified, meaning that it can be scrutinised with decisive experiments. Popper was opposed to the classical justificationist account of knowledge, which he replaced with "the first non-justificational philosophy of criticism in the history of philosophy", namely critical rationalism. The essence · Sun

Sun in Leo

4°27′

Your essence asks to shine from the heart, with authenticity: to create, express and give warmth to those you love. You are contagiously vital. You need to inhabit your own centre with pride and give your creativity an outlet.

The inner world · Moon

Moon in Taurus

8°05′

Your emotional calm needs solid ground: routines, stability, physical comfort, body, nature and bonds that don't wobble. You nourish and are nourished through simple sensory pleasure, patience and the certainty of what is firm.

The threshold · Ascendant

Birth time not documented

The Ascendant changes sign every two hours, and no verified birth time is recorded for Karl Popper, so this chart doesn't set it. Their planets by sign, however, remain reliable.

Section II · The map

Their natal wheel

The sky on the day they were born. The outer ring is the twelve signs; the lines across the centre, the aspects between planets. Without a birth time, houses and the Ascendant aren't drawn.

Karl Popper's placements

We compute the placements for the day of birth. Without the exact time the Ascendant and houses can't be fixed, but each planet's sign is reliable.

Beyond the planets

Three keys beyond the ten classical planets, which astrology reads as axes of the chart. All four angles need your birth time.

Chiron10°19 Capricorn

The wounded healer: a small icy body between Saturn and Uranus. It marks the wound that, once moved through, teaches.

North Node29°18 Libra

Not a body but a point of the Moon's orbit. It marks the direction of your growth.

Lilith18°56 Sagittarius

The Black Moon: a mathematical point tied to the untamed and what refuses to submit.

Karl Popper's aspects

Each aspect is an angle between two planets; it defines how they speak to each other. Aspects to the Moon are approximate: they depend on the exact birth time.
