August Strindberg's Birth Chart
Sun in Aquarius · Moon in Capricorn
Johan August Strindberg was a Swedish playwright, novelist, poet, essayist, and painter. A prolific writer who often drew directly on his personal experience, Strindberg wrote more than 60 plays and more than 30 works of fiction, autobiography, history, cultural analysis, and politics during his career, which spanned four decades. A bold experimenter and iconoclast throughout his life, he explored a wide range of dramatic methods and purposes, from naturalistic tragedy, monodrama, and historical plays to his anticipations of expressionist and surrealist dramatic techniques. From his earliest work, Strindberg developed innovative forms of dramatic action, language, and visual composition. He is considered the "father" of modern Swedish literature and his The Red Room (1879) has frequently been described as the first modern Swedish novel. In Sweden, Strindberg is known as an essayist, painter, poet, and especially novelist and playwright, but in other countries he is known mostly as a playwright. Wikipedia
Section I · The core
The two luminaries
Two lights set the tone of the whole chart: the Sun, the identity; the Moon, the emotional world.
August Strindberg's Sun, in Aquarius
Your identity is vision: thinking differently, belonging to the future and to the tribe of the awake. It asserts itself through singularity, free thought and a vision of the future. You need to contribute your genuine perspective, break outdated patterns and connect with the collective consciousness.
August Strindberg's Moon, in Capricorn
Your emotions are sober and deep: it's hard for you to ask, but you hold like a mountain. Your emotional world seeks refuge in restraint, work, pragmatism and self-control. You show affection by supporting and protecting your own, and you find peace when you feel you hold the reins of your life.
Section II · The map
Their natal wheel
The sky on the day they were born. The outer ring is the twelve signs; the lines across the centre, the aspects between planets. Without a birth time, houses and the Ascendant aren't drawn.
Section III · The detail
Planets and aspects
The exact numbers behind the drawing. Each table expands one layer of the wheel.
August Strindberg's placements
We compute the placements for the day of birth. Without the exact time the Ascendant and houses can't be fixed, but each planet's sign is reliable.

August Strindberg's aspects
Each aspect is an angle between two planets; it defines how they speak to each other. Aspects to the Moon are approximate: they depend on the exact birth time.
Elements and modalities
How their energy is split across the four elements and the three modalities.
Section IV · The signature
The signature of their sky
The whole at a glance: how the planets are spread, and the accents that set the overall tone of the chart.
Bucket
A group of planets with a single one opposite: that 'handle' planet becomes the channel of the whole chart.
Their energy concentrates in the element of Fire and the Cardinal modality.
Jupiter is the most connected planet in their chart: 4 aspects tie it to the rest.
Three or more planets together in Pisces: a strongly marked focus of energy in that area.
